The Systems Development team manages the pension database and member self service area for Peninsula Pensions. They update systems, member records and run reports as required by employers, pension fund accountants and actuaries.
Local Government Pension Scheme – Annual Returns 2019/20
The LGPS annual return exercise is currently ongoing. All employers should now have been contacted via email which will include guidance and the template – completed spreadsheets should be sent to the annual return mailbox
Interfacing is a catch-all term for the routine exchange of common data in a pre-determined format, namely Microsoft Excel in our case. There is benefit for both employers and Peninsula Pensions as it provides a quick and efficient method of creating/maintaining member records. Employer Self Service (ESS)
In addition to interfaces, we provide employers with direct access to members pension records held on our system Altair via Employer Self Service. More information on this facility can be found here.
Data Quality Exercise
The Systems Development Team will be undertaking a Data Quality exercise for all LGPS Pension Fund employers. It’s in accordance with the Pension Regulator specification and involves a series of checks to validate the personal and financial data held on our records for all active members of the LGPS. The process will be launched in the next few weeks with the plan to start with the smaller employers but if you want to request your data sooner rather than later, please email Richard Tuck.
